Congratulations to those members nominated to represent UHP as delegates to conventions or labor groups! All listed have accepted their nomination. Thank you to all who are stepping up to get involved!

Our membership overwhelmingly ratified our proposed contract. The margin was 1,377 in favor, 20 against, a nearly 99% acceptance. Voter turnout was nearly 55%. The contract still needs approval at the state legislature before its May adjournment before it becomes official.

MOA on OT/Nurse Staffing Extended

The memorandum of agreement (MOA) with UConn Heatlh creating incentives to cover open nursing shifts has been extended to March 24, 2022.

In addition to UHP scholarships, AFT CT is offering one scholarship for members and another for a member's spouse, partner, or dependent. Applications for AFT CT scholarships are due by May 1.
