Meeting with Labor Leaders about Ebola Preparedness
National and state labor leaders recently visited UConn Health to learn about our comprehensive Ebola preparedness efforts. UHP President Donna Maronde along with several UHP officers, Randi Weingarten, President of the American Federation of Teachers (AFT), and Melodie Peters, former state senator and President of AFT Connecticut, toured our third floor designated treatment facility, saw a demonstration of the proper donning of protective equipment and learned about the thoughtful, ongoing process to educate and support caregivers during this rapidly changing healthcare situation.
