SUBJECT: CT WORKING FAMILIES CANDIDATE & CAMPAIGN STAFF TRAINING
Hello,
We all know that 2106 was a year of setbacks for the progressive
movement, and we are now facing some very serious challenges. This has
only renewed CT Working Families commitment on expanding our leadership,
candidate & campaign skills training. We want to get a head start on
identifying and training folks who are interested in Senate & House
seats for '18 as well as running in local municipal races this fall.
We are looking for driven individuals with strong progressive values, a
record of hard work, and engagement in their community who are
interested in stepping into the political arena. These trainings will
provide a solid foundation to run for local & state office and to
support others. For those interested in attending these trainings,

Please share this broadly with people and constituencies who might have
someone interested -- membership lists, local clubs, civic groups,
fellow volunteers, etc. Please seek out folks in your organizations who
have shown potential and aptitude for leadership. In this time more than
any time in recent memory, it's crucial that the left do a better job of
developing more home-grown leaders who are from the community. Even
people who might not think they are qualified to run should be
encouraged, together we can have a conversation about what it entails
and how we can support them in the future.
