"Testifying at the State Capitol: 101" Webinar

to

Zoom (AFT CT)
United States

The General Assembly's 2022 session begins in just over three months and we're finalizing AFT Connecticut's policy priorities for our affiliated unions. In the meantime, we've scheduled an online training for members in how to testify at public hearings on legislative proposals.

Speaking out in favor of or against raised bills is a key component of an effective program to win on the issues that matter. Plan to join us - and invite additional activists from your local to participate:

WHAT: "Testifying at the State Capitol: 101" Webinar

WHEN: Wednesday, December 15 from 5:00PM to 6:30PM

WHERE: Online via Zoom (access info to be provided upon confirmation)

HOW: Click here to sign-up to join us — there is no cost for members

You'll learn why this is such an important part of the legislative process that ultimately shapes public policy (i.e., determines funding for the services you provide) at the statehouse. Topics covered include how to write the most effective testimony, how to testify online and in-person and what to expect during public hearings.

Click here for more information you can share with fellow union members.

Join us online next month to be part of kicking-off our member-driven legislative program for 2022.

More to come, and in solidarity,
