Solidarity Report: Contract for Food Service Workers

We recently got word of a deal for the 80 UConn Health food service workers who’d been working under an expired contract that had them facing a choice between a livable wage or health benefits. Our brothers and sisters at UNITE HERE 217 report the following:

UConn food service workers have made great wins in our contract. Our raises now get us to a livable wage, health insurance is more affordable, and we have instituted a number of workload solutions. Thanks to UHP for your support!
