Building Effective Safety and Health Labor-Management Committees

During COVID-19

Zoom Webinar from AFT Nurses and Health Professionals

Led by Sara Markle-Elder

February 11, 7:00 to 8:30 pm EST

Having an effective labor management committee for safety and health is more important than ever before.  Please join us for a zoom webinar to discuss the elements of a strong labor management committee for health and safety with a focus on needs related to COVID-19.  1.5 contact hours provided.

Please contact Sara Markle-Elder to register in advance at smarkle@aft.org.

The American Federation of Teachers/Nurses and Health Professionals is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. There has been no commercial support of this program and the presenters declare there is no conflict of interest.

At the completion of the webinar, participants will report more self-confidence in knowing how to prepare for safety and health labor-management committee meetings, what existing OSHA standards and guidance apply to protect healthcare workers from COVID-19 and how to advocate for effective mitigation controls.

The learner must attend 100 percent of the session. After the learner has completed all of his or her chosen sessions, a certificate of attendance, program evaluation/survey must be completed and returned to the provider.
