Call for Nominations: 2025 Officers and Delegates

We hereby notify our membership of our 2025 regular elections and call for nominations.

This is an opportunity for members in good standing run for the following officer positions, whose terms are from July 2025 through June 2028:

  • Chief Steward
  • Vice President Tier I (salaried) Employees
  • Vice President Tier II (hourly) Employees
  • Vice President for Community Outreach

Prerequisites: Per our constitution, Chief Steward must be a steward with super seniority, VP Tier I must be a salaried employee, and VP Tier II must be an hourly employee. 

We also are nominating delegates to various conventions and councils. Delegate nominations this year will be for:

  • AFT CT Convention
  • CT AFL-CIO Convention
  • AFT Executive Council
  • Eastern CT Area Labor Federation
  • Greater Bristol Labor Council
  • Greater Hartford Labor Council

Nominations for both officers and delegates must be turned in to the UHP office by the close of the first business day in February, which will be 4 p.m. Monday, Feb. 3.

This will also be the opportunity to propose any UHP constitutional amendments. Any proposed amendment also must be received by 4 p.m., Monday, Feb. 3.
