For 25 years, I’ve proudly served UConn Health and the members of UHP — and if there’s one thing people know about me, it’s that I show up. I show up for coworkers, for conversations that matter, for the tough moments, and for the moments that remind us why union family is so powerful. As a union rep, steward, and delegate at local, state, and national conventions, I’ve spent years listening, advocating, and making sure our members feel supported, informed, and never alone in navigating workplace challenges.
I’ve also rolled up my sleeves on several key UHP committees, including Finance, Communications, Negotiations, and the Elections Committee. Those roles taught me how our union runs behind the scenes — how budgets shape priorities, how communication builds trust, and how fair elections keep our democracy strong. They also reminded me that when we work together, we get creative, we get bold, and we get things done.
That’s exactly why I’m running for Vice President of Membership Activities. I don’t just want to fill a role — I want to bring energy to it. I want to create spaces where members feel welcomed, appreciated, and connected. I want new members to feel like they’ve joined something meaningful, and long time members to feel celebrated. And yes, I want us to have fun, because joy builds solidarity just as much as strategy does.
I believe I can do good things in this role. I’m ready to bring heart, humor, and connection to our membership — and help make UHP an even stronger union.
