Election ’26: Tasha Greenlaw

My name is Tasha Greenlaw, and I work in Patient Access as a Pre Certification Representative.

I started here at UConn in 2020; this was my first time working in a union environment. Since joining UHP I have become a union representative, a union steward, joined the contract team and I have attended many functions.

I have a passion for encouraging people to become advocates for themselves, while letting them know their union rights, while supporting and standing with them. I believe in transparency and sharing knowledge.

I often receive questions about what the union does or how I can get involved. When I started at UConn I relied on the word of mouth of past members until I decided to educate myself and get involved in activities.

I am running for VP of Membership Activities because I would like to be a part of helping UHP educate new and old members of their union rights, benefits, contract and activities.

I am also looking forward to coming up with new ways to motivate members to come together and network! There are so many exciting things that happen in UHP.

UHP is combined of providers, nurses, UConn faculty as well as non-clinical workers (like myself). Some of us work side by side and have no idea that we are union brothers and sisters; I would like to be a part of changing that along with growing our membership.

The closer our members are the stronger we become and a force to deal with!
