Workers Memorial Day

to

Workers Memorial in Bushnell Park
Hartford,
United States

On April 28, the unions of the AFL-CIO will observe Workers Memorial Day to remember those who have suffered and died on the job, and to renew the fight for safe jobs.

We have lost and continue to lose too many working people to COVID-19 and other workplace hazards. No one should die simply because we go to work.

Date/Time: Thursday, April 28, at noon
Location:
Workers Memorial in Bushnell Park, Hartford (map)
Questions: Reach us at office@ctaflcio.org or 860-571-6191
Rain or shine

Traditionally, we have also asked our affiliates to purchase wreaths for the ceremony. While we will have a couple of wreaths again, we are instead asking affiliates to please consider donating to the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) relief fund to provide immediate support to Ukrainian refugees. The relief fund is helping the ITUC's Ukrainian labor organizations and providing basic needs for the growing number of refugees.

Thank you for your support. We look forward to seeing you on April 28.

In solidarity,

Connecticut AFL-CIO Health & Safety Committee
