Are you interested in getting more involved in our union? Perhaps as a delegate to an upcoming convention or area labor federation? Or as an officer? Next year the following executive committee positions are up for election:
- President
- 1st VP for collective bargaining
- Treasurer
- Recording secretary
- VP for communication
- VP for political activities
- VP for membership activities

We also will send delegates to the AFT CT convention (usually late spring), the AFT national convention (mid July in Washington, D.C.), and the CT AFL-CIO convention (usually late summer, location TBD). Being a convention delegate offers a perspective on the larger labor movement and is a fantastic learning experience!
We also have delegates to area labor federations.
Watch next month for the official call for nominations. Nominations will be due no later than Feb. 2, 2026.
Any proposed amendments to our constitution also will be due by that date.
