Elizabeth Figueroa has won UHP's special election for Vice President for Membership Activities.
Final tally: Elizabeth 384 votes, Shaneé Reid 381
It's one of the narrowest margins of any UHP election.
"I came in as a delegate and now running for VP membership activities was an experience in itself," Elizabeth says. "I was nervous but also excited too. As I transition into my position I anticipate challenges and embrace new beginnings. A special thank you for all of you who voted for me. "
She will take office in the coming days.
"The run for VP Membership Activities was fun and exciting," Shaneé says. "It was a great experience for me and I was able to meet a lot of great people. I appreciate that the three-point difference lets me know that this was a really good run and we both worked very hard. I am very happy for Elizabeth and I'm sure she will do an amazing job."
Congratulations to both candidates, and thank you to the UHP Elections Committee and to all the members who took the time to vote!
