Bill has been a long-time member of UHP and UConn Health. He started his UConn career in 1996. In 2016 Bill decided to run for and get elected to the position of UHP President. For the past 10 years Bill has proudly served in that role.

Jean Morningstar, who served as UHP president from 1998 to 2013, returns to the UHP Executive Committee, this time in the role of chief steward.

Michelle is serving her ninth term as UHP Treasurer. As such, she chairs the finance committee, the investment subcommittee, and the officer and delegate compensation subcommittee. Michelle also serves on the negotiating team, elections committee, scholarship committee, social committee and attends the Union Representative Assembly. Her UHP activism over the years also includes participation in the steward committee and LPAC. Michelle joined UConn Health in 2001. She is the Business Services Manager in the Dental Dean’s Finance office.

Hello! For those who don’t know me, my name is Randi, and I am following Robin Addison as UHP’s VP for Community Outreach. You and I may have already crossed paths at the hospital, where I work as a nurse, or as representative and steward for UHP.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of contributing to UHP in various roles — union representative, steward, and as part of several committees. These experiences have deepened my commitment to advocating for the needs of our members and fostering a strong, engaged, and empowered community within UHP.

Peter Zarabozo joined the UHP executive committee October 2021 following a special election for the VP Tier II (hourly) employees position. He is a nurse in the rheumatology clinic who joined UConn Health March 2020.

“In my position, I hope to increase membership engagement and get more members involved in the operations of our union,” Peter says. “We must have an engaged membership to defend and advance our contract and mutual interests.”

Chris joined the executive committee in 2016 after years of growing involvement in the union. He became a rep in 2009 and was named Union Rep of the Year in 2012. Chris chairs the communications committee and serves on the steward committee, negotiating team, and elections committee. He previously has served on the elections committee, finance committee and subcommittees and as an AFT Connecticut legislative liaison. UHP recognized him with the Steward of the Year Award in 2017 and the President's Award in 2018. In 2021 he received AFT CT’s Joseph H. Soifer Award in recognition of his contributions to UHP and the labor movement in general.

Summer Lambert joined the UHP executive committee April 1, 2022, following a special election for the recording secretary position.
