Kids Need Full Backpacks and Full Bellies

Once again we’re partnering with the United Labor Agency, which has been running a weekly food backpack program for six years.

The idea is to provide students with enough kid-friendly, nonperishable and nutritionally balanced meals for them and their families for the weekend. The backpacks will provide six meals, two snacks and one full meal for their entire family. When available they also include school supplies, hygiene items and other bonus items the families may need.

Let’s continue our historic success with supporting this program by donating nutritious nonperishables, school supplies, hygiene items, hats/gloves/mittens, socks, or cash/gift cards to give working families a hand.

Find collection bins at the academic entrance, University Tower lobby, Outpatient Pavilion third floor, and Munson Road, or contact VP Community Outreach Trisha Faraday to arrange pickup of the items you and your coworkers have collected to donate.
