UHP filed a State Prohibited Practice charge over UConn Health's mandary flu vaccine policy, leading to a settlement agreement.
The agreement allows current employees who do not want to get the flu shot to be grandfathered. The same provisions for employees seeking exemption on medical or religious grounds remain. Those who do not get a flu shot will need to wear a mask and face shield. If in the future the state or federal government makes the flu shot mandatory, we will revisit this agreement.
