We sent 20 delegates to this year’s CT AFL-CIO convention, held at Foxwoods, where about 1,300 employees are organized in five unions. We were among 268 delegates from 98 affiliates representing 24 unions! Our president, Bill Garrity, was re-elected as one of AFT CT’s four representatives on the CT AFL-CIO’s executive board.

UConn Labor Coalition Town Hall With AG Tong

Sept. 18, 2025—UConn Labor Coalition invites Attorney General William Tong to the Low Learning Center for a town hall on the struggle with the Trump administration for federal investment in higher education, research, and health care. Other elected officials who joined remotely include U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal and U.S. Reps. John Larson and Joe Courtney.
