My name is Quamanic St. Pierre and I have been working at UConn Health for over 18 years in many different roles.
I am married and have two children.
I am running for VP Tier I of UHP 3837.
I have taken several seminars that focused on and highlighted workplace violence including harassment and bullying. These are all significant issues in our workplace today and should be recognized as such by management.
If elected, I will work toward addressing these issues that impact our members every day.
I come from a union family with high union values and feel a major need to continue this tradition. I have been a union representative for 11 years and a union steward for six years. I value and appreciate the needs of all of our members. Each one of our members deserves a safe and just employment at UConn Health. We have experienced many frustrations such as a lack of a contract, disrespect from management, and a lack of staff/support throughout this pandemic. We can work together to improve all of these matters and more. I promise to continue to educate members about their rights and our union's progress in all efforts. Together we can work to protect our rights and our contract!
