On March 22, many of our colleagues testified before the General Assembly's Public Health Committee in support of a proposed new law addressing the #CodeRed patient care crisis. That bill next goes to the state Senate.

We are hosting a "Safe Patient Limits" lobby day at the State Capitol so you can tell your story to lawmakers. They need to know how S.B. 1067, An Act Concerning Adequate and Safe Health Care Staffing, is the solution we need for increased patient loads and escalating health and safety risks.

Join us - and bring at least one colleague with you - to share why lawmakers need to pass S.B. 1067 into law:

  • WHAT: 'Safe Patient Limits' Lobby Day
  • WHEN: Wednesday, May 10 from 2:00pm to 6:00pm
  • WHERE: Connecticut State Capitol, located at 210 Capitol Avenue in Hartford (free parking available at the adjacent Legislative Office Building at 300 Capitol Avenue)
  • HOW: Click here to register to participate (important for planning purposes and to provide you updates)

We will be on hand to help you identify and meet with your hometown's elected representatives.

Click here for more information, including a flyer, you can share with your colleagues.

To help you prepare, we are also hosting a town hall meeting at 7:30PM on Thursday, April 27 to answer any questions you may have about attending a lobby day at the state capitol.

Click here for more information and to register to attend (Zoom information will be provided once confirmed).

Our voices are strongest when we raise them together, so make arrangements today to join us at the state capitol in Hartford on May 10th!

More to come , and in solidarity,
