UConn Health Union Members: Speaking out at the State Capitol
The governor and state legislature are negotiating the next two-year state budget. This is the time when funding cuts and "savings" and surprises tend to happen -- often at the last minute. (Remember in 2017 when the directive to seek a "public-private partnership" suddenly appeared?)
That's why right now lawmakers need to hear from us, the front-line staff who every day make this public hospital work well for the public good. If legislators don't see us, they will assume we don't care what happens to us. We can't afford to give them that impression.
Together, union members are coming to the state Capitol to talk with lawmakers end educate them about why it's so important to keep UConn Health as public hospital. Come share your story!
