AFT CT President Jan Hochadel swears in the new team of UHP officers, from left: VP for Political Activities Robin Washington Addison, Treasurer Michelle Proper, President Bill Garrity, 1st VP Ivonne Hamm, VP for Membership Activities Shawn Brown, Recording Secretary Laura Didden, Chief Steward Lucille Miller, VP for Communication Chris DeFrancesco, and VP Tier II Trung Le.

The Voluntary Schedule Reduction Program has been in existence since 1991.  It is located in the State Personnel Act, Chapter 67. After having reviewed the documents, the questions regarding accruals and state service time have been satisfactorily answered. UHP members should be cautious and carefully review what their personal financial needs are before volunteering for this plan.

As was answered in the Act, accruals of sick, vacation, and state service time do continue as if you were still working your current schedule.
