The UHP Elections Committee announces the following nominees for our 2026 officer elections:
President
- Bill Garrity (incumbent)
- Shawn Brown (currently 1st VP)
1st VP for Collective Bargaining
- Peter Zarabozo (currently VP Tier 2 Employees)
Treasurer
- Michelle Proper (incumbent)
VP for Membership Activities
VP for Political Activities
- Dawn Thomas (incumbent)
Paul Banach(Paul has withdrawn from the race effective Feb. 18)
Recording Secretary
- Meg Bartos (incumbent)
VP for Communication
- Chris DeFrancesco (incumbent)
Candidates for contested positions each submitted a bio page to the elections committee.
Elections will be held online from March 2-6, and absentee ballots will be available by appointment Feb. 24-26. Note: You must be a member in good standing to have voting rights. If you are unsure, you can check your status by calling the office: 860-676-8444.
